On Thursday, Israeli soldiers assaulted and abducted several Palestinians in the occupied capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank, leading to protests.

Many military and police vehicles invaded Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and fired many concussion grenades at homes and streets.

The soldiers invaded the Sweih neighborhood, Abu Tayeh and Ein Al-Louza neighborhoods in the town and fired many gas bombs before abducting a child and two young men.

The soldiers also invaded Shu’fat refugee camp, northeast of Jerusalem, after closing the military roadblock at its entrance and preventing the Palestinians from entering or leaving it.

The soldiers fired many gas bombs, concussion grenades, and wastewater at stores and streets to force the Palestinians to leave and detained three children.

Although the holy Muslim month of Ramadan is not until March, the Israeli police are also holding meetings to discuss the conditions that would allow and deny Palestinians from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

Fanatic Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Bin-Gvir and the Israeli Police are against allowing the Palestinians from the West Bank to enter Al-Aqsa, while the army said it believes a limited number should be allowed to “avoid serious tension in the West Bank and Jerusalem.”

Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, as well as various parts of the West Bank, have been under strict Israeli siege, constant invasions, destruction, and abductions among the Palestinians since October 7, 2023.

The army has significantly increased the roadblocks and blockades around Al-Aqsa since then and pushed hundreds of soldiers around the Old City, in its alleys, and especially around the holy site.

The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said the Israeli army has killed 370 Palestinians, including 99 children, and injured hundreds in the occupied West Bank since October 7, 2023.

In the Gaza Strip, Israeli missiles, shells, and bullets have killed at least 25.700 Palestinians and injured more than 63.740, mostly women and children, in addition to the massive destruction and devastation across the coastal enclave and the resulting famine and diseases, especially after the collapse of the healthcare system and the destruction of hospitals and medical centers after being invaded and bombed.
