BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Nine people were arrested overnight Monday, according to the Israeli army and witnesses.
Israeli forces raided the al-Bahar bakery in Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, and seized 17-year-old Muhammad Yoused Bahar, before driving to his home and detaining his 14-year-old brother Abed Al-Rahman, a Ma'an correspondent said.
Local anti-settlement committee spokesman Muhammad Awad said soldiers also detained Rasheed Ali Awad, 15, from his Beit Ummar home.
An Israeli army spokeswoman said five people were arrested for security questioning in the Hebron area overnight.
In Bethlehem, soldiers seized Iyad Ulayyan from Duheisha refugee camp in the early hours, the Association of Freed Prisoners in the camp said.
Ulayyan's 16-year-old son Said has been in Israeli custody for 50 days, the center noted.
Locals told Ma'an that Israeli forces also raided the northern town of Yabad, Jenin, and arrested three men.
Haydar Yousif Amarnah, Majdi Hasan Amarnah and Namiq Tariq Abu Bakr were named by witnesses as those detained.
Israel's army had no reports of any arrests outside Hebron.
Palestinians living in the occupied territories are routinely arrested by Israeli forces, who usually state security reasons as justification.
Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.

HEBRON/JENIN, July 17, 2012 (WAFA) –Israeli forces Tuesday arrested six Palestinians from the West Bank cities of Hebron and Jenin, including four teenagers, according to local and security sources.
According to Mohamed Awad, from the Popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements in the Hebron area, Israeli forces stormed the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, and arrested three Palestinian teenagers age 14, 15, and 17.
They were taken to Etzion detention center in the Gush Etzion settlement bloc for interrogation.
Palestinian security sources said Israeli soldiers raided several homes in Yabad, a village southwest of Jenin, and arrested three Palestinians age 19, 20, and 22.
Forces also handed a 19-year-old Palestinian a notice to appear before the Israeli intelligence.

Israeli soldiers raided several homes and kidnapped three youngsters in the village of Ya’bud, southwest of Jenin on Tuesday.
The youths were named as Nameq Tareq Abu Bakr, 19, Haidar Yousef Hassan Amarneh, 22, and Majdi Hassan Haidar Amarneh, 20.
The Israeli raids follow similar military action on Monday. The village of Azoun, east of Qalqilya in the western part of the occupied territories was raided and a child of 16 arrested.
The Israeli army raided the village, installed a military checkpoint at th entrance and arrested Tareq Khalaf.
There are currently more than 200 children being held in Israeli jails in violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention.
