RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained 28 Palestinians from across districts of the occupied West Bank, between Monday night and predawn Tuesday.
The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said that Israeli forces detained two Palestinians from the southern West Bank district of Hebron, they were identified as Mahmoud Muhammad Amr and Samer Ahmad Matar.
Israeli forces also reportedly confiscated amounts of money and gold from Matar’s house.
In the Bethlehem district, also in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces detained one Palestinian identified as Hani al-Seifi.
Israeli forces detained five Palestinians from the Ramallah and al-Bireh district in the central West Bank, they were identified as Mahmoud Said Shreiteh, Fayiz Samir al-Tirawi, Zeidan Adnan Ibrahim Khattab, Islam Wajih Hasanein and Amer al-Tirawi.
PPS added that 11 Palestinians were detained from the northern West Bank district of Nablus, identifying them as Malik Bilal Ishtayyeh, Mahmoud Saqer Assideh, Muath Bilal Ishtayyeh, Baraa Issam Rihan, Mahmoud Mustafa Assideh, Qutaiba Muhammad Assideh, Yasser Bilal Yamin, Omar Imad Rihan, Majd Bilal Ishtayyeh, Jamal Ahmad Ayyoub Assideh and Abed al-Rahmad Muhammad Shahhad.
In the Qaldiliya district in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces detained one Palestinian identified as Imad Ghaleb Abu Haniyeh.
In the Tubas district in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces detained four brothers identified as Ahmad, Muhammad, Mahmoud and Yaqoub Radwan Daraghmeh.
Israeli forces detained three Palestinians from the Tulkarem district, also in the northern West Bank, identified as Bassel Rida Marie, Imad Muhammad Ahmad Usba and Mutaz Sidqi Ikbariya.
One Palestinian was also detained from the Jenin district in the northern West Bank, he was identified as Abdullah Lutfi Khlouf.
Israeli raids into Palestinian towns and villages are near daily occurrence in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,554 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons.
