Description
from Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI)
Dear Friends,
Demolitions by Israeli forces this year have already displaced double the number of Palestinians displaced in 2010. Research by the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, found that 990 people -- including 507 children -- have lost their homes so far this year. In 2010, 445 people -- including 235 children -- were displaced by Israeli demolitions.
Next Monday, 19th December, EAPPI will host a field trip for journalists, NGO staff and consular officials to Dkaika, a village in the South Hebron hills.
Dkaika currently has 74 demolition orders, targeting almost every structure in the village including the school.
We will provide transportation from Jerusalem but we have limited space and will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact me if you are interested.
Best wishes,
Paul Adrian Raymond
