BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) – Israeli forces detained at least 15 Palestinians across the occupied West Bank overnight between Wednesday and Thursday, the Israeli army said.
In the northern occupied West Bank, Israeli forces detained one Palestinian from the Tulkarem refugee camp, and three others in the Qalqiliya-district village of Kafr Qaddum, an Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an.
In the Salfit district, the army reported two detentions in the village of Kifl Haris.
The army spokesperson said that one Palestinian was detained in the village of Abwein in the central West Bank district of Ramallah, while two others were detained in the Jerusalem district -- one in Qalandiya, and the other in Beit Surik.
The army also reported in a statement that Israeli forces had raided and shuttered a shop in the Ramallah-area village of Rantis, claiming that it was allegedly being used as a meeting place to plan attacks against Israel.
In the Bethlehem district, the army spokesperson said that one Palestinian was detained in the city of Bethlehem, one in the village of al-Khader, two in the village of Beit Fajjar, and one in Husan.
They added that another Palestinian was detained overnight at the Allenby border crossing between the West Bank and Jordan.
Israeli raids in Palestinian towns, villages, and refugee camps are a daily occurrence in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
The United Nations recorded an average of 95 weekly raids in the occupied West Bank in 2016, and 70 weekly raids on average thus far in 2017.
According to prisoners’ rights group Addameer, 6,300 Palestinians were held in Israeli prisons as of March, including 300 minors and 61 women.

Israeli soldiers invaded, on Thursday at dawn, the West Bank city of Bethlehem, al-Khader town, south of the city and Wad Rahhal village, east of Bethlehem, and abducted four young Palestinian men.
The Bethlehem office of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) said several military jeeps invaded the al-Khader town, searched a few homes and abducted Firas Khader Mousa, 30, and his brother, Mohammad, 27.
It added that the soldiers also invaded the Saff Street area, in the center of Bethlehem city, and abducted Abdul-Rahman Jadallah Shouka.
The PPS also said that the soldiers abducted Ashraf Mousa Thiab, 30, after breaking into his home, and violently searching it, in Wad Rahhal village, south of Bethlehem.

Several Israeli army jeeps invaded, on Thursday at dawn, the northern West Bank city of Tulkarem, and Tulkarem refugee camp, searched homes and abducted two young men.
Media sources in Tulkarem said the soldiers abducted Laith Abdul-Fattah Enaya, 37, from Tulkarem city, and Ahmad Abdul-Qader Nasrallah, 30, from its refugee camp.
The soldiers also interrogated several Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards, and briefly closed roads.
Also at dawn, the soldiers invaded the West Bank city of Bethlehem, al-Khader town, south of the city and Wad Rahhal village, east of Bethlehem, and abducted four young Palestinian men.

Israeli soldiers abducted, on Thursday at dawn, one Palestinians from the al-Roosh al-Foqa village, south of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and confiscated his car.
The soldiers invaded the village, one of many communities surrounding Doura town, south of Hebron, before storming and searching many homes, and abducted Mohammad Othman al-Harbiyyat.
The soldiers also confiscated Mohammad’s car, and took them to an unknown destination, media sources in Hebron said.
Also in Hebron, the soldiers broke into a blacksmith’s workshop, confiscated its machines and tools, allegedly for being used to manufacture weapons.
Furthermore, several Israeli army jeeps invaded the northern West Bank city of Tulkarem, and Tulkarem refugee camp, searched homes and abducted two young men.
Also at dawn, the soldiers invaded the West Bank city of Bethlehem, al-Khader town, south of the city and Wad Rahhal village, east of Bethlehem, and abducted four young Palestinian men.
In related news, the soldiers invaded Rantis village, west of Ramallah in central West Bank, and sealed shut a shop, after alleging it “served as a gathering point for planning attacks against Israeli targets.”
The Maan News Agency has reported that the soldiers have abducted 15 Palestinians in various parts of the West Bank, three of them in Kufur Qaddoum near Qalqilia, in northern West Bank, two in Kifl Hares village, west of Salfit, one in ‘Abwein village north of Ramallah, one in Husan town, west of Bethlehem, and one who was taken prisoner at the Allenby border terminal between Jordan and the West Bank.
