Description
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces raided a Palestinian home in al-Maniya village in the southern occupied West Bank district of Bethlehem and turned it into a military barrack on Wednesday, locals said.
Muhammad Froukh, a resident of the home, told a Ma'an that Israeli forces raided the house and expelled the family out of their home.
Israeli forces fire tear-gas bombs, rubber-coated steel bullet and live fire at Palestinians in the streets, as clashes erupted during the home raid.
An Israeli army spokesperson did not immediately respond for comment.
It is common practice for Israeli forces to take over roofs of houses, as well as entire homes in order to set up military positions during raids.
According to sources at the Palestine Technical University in western Tulkarem, Israeli forces have set up a temporary military base inside the university for the past several weeks, as clashes near the university have been frequent.
