Israeli soldiers detained Thursday at least five Palestinians during clashes between local youths and Israeli soldiers invading Jabal al-Mokabber area, in Jerusalem, and the Shu’fat refugee camp, in Jerusalem.
Local sources said the soldiers invaded the home of former political prisoner Jamaal Abu Jamal in Jabal al-Mokabber, south of the city, and kidnapped him.
The soldiers also kidnapped a child, identified as Ehab al-Ja’abeess, 14 years of age, and a third Palestinian who remained unidentified until the time of this report.
Clashes also took place in Shu’fat refugee camp, and the army also kidnapped two Palestinians in the camp.
Similar clashes took place in various neighborhoods of the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, while dozens of soldiers have been deployed in the neighborhoods and alleys of the Old City.
On Thursday at night, soldiers kidnapped sixteen Palestinians in different neighborhoods and towns in Jerusalem.
On Thursday evening, soldiers kidnapped four Palestinians form the Husan town, west of the West Bank city of Bethlehem.
Eyewitnesses said the soldiers installed a sudden roadblock on the main road between al-Kader town and Batteer village, near Bethlehem, stopped Palestinian cars, and kidnapped four Palestinians identified as Abdul-Wahab Hamamra, 50, Khaled Ibrahim Hamamra, 21, his brother Saqer, 20, and Mohannad Mahmoud Hamamra, 26.
The kidnapped Palestinians, from Husan town, were heading back home from work.
