NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained seven Palestinian teens after raiding several houses in Beta village south of Nablus early Friday morning, locals said.
An Israeli military force raided Beta village and forcibly entered several houses, mostly located in the eastern part of the village.
Israeli forces detained Qutaiba Ahmad Hamayel, 17, Farouq Sbeih Hamayel, 18, Karam Azzam al-Tayeh, 16, Ali Abbas Hamayel, 17, Mohammad Imad Hamayel, 17, Amer Mahmud Hamayel, 16, and Adham Iyad Hamayel, 17.
The detainees were taken to an unknown location.
An Israeli army spokeswoman said that eight Palestinians were detained in the raids for "involvement in illegal activities."
The Israeli raid follows an incident on Thursday where gunmen fired at an Israeli settler vehicle near Huwwara checkpoint, located near Beta.
No injuries were reported.
Israeli forces routinely raid West Bank towns and villages to arrest Palestinians, usually on the pretext of security questioning.
The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.
