Palestinian medical sources reported Thursday [July 25, 2013] that a Palestinian teenager was shot and injured by Israeli military fire in Beit Hanoun town, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

The sources stated that Israeli soldiers, stationed at a military tower across the border, fired rounds of live ammunition at a 19-year-old while in Palestinian lands close to the border, wounding him in his right foot.

The injured youth was moved to Beit Hanoun Hospital for treatment.

Israeli soldiers repeatedly open fire at Palestinian farmers and workers working in Palestinian lands close to the border, dozens of casualties have been reported.
