JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Six Palestinians from East Jerusalem were sentenced by Israeli courts Tuesday on a range of security charges, family members told Ma'an.
Muhammad Obeid from Isawiya in East Jerusalem, was sentenced to 42 months in jail after an Israeli court found him guilty of illegal arms possession, affiliation to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and throwing stones and firebombs at Israeli targets, their family said.
Meanwhile Muhammad Maher Obeid, Amjad Idres, and Ali Mustafa were given 34 months in jail and 5000-shekel fine each for throwing stones, firebombs and affiliation to the PFLP.
A magistrate's court also sentenced Ahmad Derbas, from the Shufat refugee camp, to seven months and Fawzi Muhesein to ten months, after finding him guilty of clashing with Israeli officers at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
