HEBRON (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces detained seven Palestinians from Hebron district early Monday and took them to an unknown location, locals said.

The Israeli army said they were among 15 Palestinians detained overnight.

An Israeli military force raided houses in Dura village and detained al-Mutaz Bellah Munther Abu Attwan, al-Ghadnfar Aykhman Mousa Abu Attwan, and Abdullah Maher Abdullah Abu Sharar.

Soldiers also raided Yatta, a Palestinian village in the same district of Hebron, and detained Muhannad al-Rabei. They also detained Islam Shanan from the city of Hebron.

They detained two Palestinians from al-Arrub refugee camp.

Soldiers raided the camp in the early morning hours and entered several houses there. They detained Maher Abu Warda, 19, and Nidal Jamal al-Balasi, 24.

Clashes broke out between Palestinians and Israeli forces before they left the camp.

An army spokeswoman said forces also arrested Palestinians in the Ramallah area, including one in Nilin and three northeast of the city.

Two more were detained in raids on Tulkarem, she said. Onlookers identified the Tulkarem detainees as Yasser Zidan, 21, and Muhammad Abu Zeina.

On Monday morning [June 10, 2013] Dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded the southern West Bank district of Hebron, broke into several homes, and kidnapped seven Palestinians before taking them to unknown destinations.

Local sources in the Al-Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, have reported that the soldiers kidnapped Maher Abu Warda, 19, and Nidal Jamal Al-Ballasy, 24.

The sources added that the army also broke into several homes and searched them, and that local youths hurled stones at the invading soldiers who fired rubber-coated metal bullets and gas bombs.

Furthermore, soldiers invaded Yatta and Doura towns, and kidnapped five Palestinians after searching their homes.

Eyewitnesses said several armored military vehicles invaded Doura before the soldiers kidnapped Monther Mohammad Abu Atwan, and Abdullah Maher Abu Sharar.

Another Palestinian, identified as Mohannad Ar-Rab’ey, was kidnapped in Yatta town, while resident Islam Shannan was kidnapped in Hebron city. Property damage was reported after the soldiers violently broke into homes and searched them.

In related news, dozens of soldiers invaded the northern West Bank city of Tulkarem, and kidnapped two Palestinians identified as Yasser Abdul-Latif Zeidan, 21, and Mohammad Eyad Abu Zeina.
