Israel frees Palestinian MP after 7 months

RAMALLAH (Ma’an) -- Israeli authorities on Thursday released an MP in the Palestinian legislative council, Shiekh Fathi Ali al-Qarawi, from Nur al-Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem.He was administratively detained for seven months.
Fouad al-Khafsh, the director of Ahrar center for prisoners studies and human rights, said al-Qarawi was detained after Israeli forces launched an arrest campaign on Nov. 23.
