WEST BANK, May 29, 2012 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday arrested 10 Palestinians from across the West Bank, according to security and local sources.
Muhammad Awad, from the National Committee against the Wall and Settlements in Beit Ummar, said Israeli forces stormed the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, in addition to several other neighborhoods and arrested five young Palestinians, including three teenagers aged 14, 15, and 16, after raiding and searching their homes.
He added that forces fired tear gas canisters at the houses before arresting them.
Forces also fired tear gas canisters toward the main mosque of the town while Palestinian worshipers were conducting their morning prayers, causing several of suffocation cases among them.
Soldiers arrested two Palestinians aged 17 and 20 from Azzoun, a town east of Qalqilia, after raiding their homes, tampering with their contents.
Meanwhile, forces arrested a 37-year-old Palestinian from the village of Ceres, south of Jenin after raiding his home and tampering with its contents.
Forces also stormed several towns and villages south of Jenin and paraded through their streets, but there were no reports of arrests.
The rest were arrested from other parts of the West Bank without giving specific details.
