RAMALLAH, May 23, 2012 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Wednesday arrested eight Palestinians from the West Bank cities of Hebron and Qalqilia, according to local sources.
Forces arrested five Palestinians from the Hebron area, including two in their early twenties, after raiding and searching their homes, said spokesman of the National Committee against the Wall and Settlements, Mohammed Awad.
Meanwhile, a large military force stormed the town of Azzoun east of Qalqilia after midnight, searched Palestinian homes until the early morning hours and arrested three local teenagers.

Israeli Forces Abduct Palestinians From Across the West Bank, Take Them to Unknown Destinations

The Palestinian News Network, PNN, and Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot, reported that Israeli forces invaded several areas of the West Bank on Tuesday, and abducted seven Palestinians. The Israeli Army transferred the detainees to unknown destinations to investigate allegations that they are wanted by the army.
The Israeli soldiers invaded the town of Beit Omar at dawn today and abducted three Palestinian citizens. They invaded the town via the southern entrance of the settlement of Karmi Tsur and took Alaa Fahmi Zaaaqik, 30 years old, after searching in his house.
In the meantime, another force invaded the town from the main entrance and, having searched their home, took two young Palestinian men, Mohammed Abu Marieh, 21, and Hossam Abu Marieh, 22, both from an area called Beit Za’ta which is east of the town.
The force also invaded and searched the house belonging to Ahmed Abu Marieh. They notified him that his son Hammad, 20 years old, who was at work at the time, must meet with the intelligence services. He has previously spent two years in Israeli prisons.
In other invasions in Jenin City in the northen West Bank, PNN reported that the Israeli forces searched the houses of Ahmed Ghasoub Ala’tt, Abdullah Hroub, Hashim Azmouti, and questioned the residents.
Furthermore, three teenagers were reported as taken by the Israeli military from the Azzoun, a town East of Qalqliya. Homes were reportedly searched throughout the night.
In addition, a large force of Israeli soldiers invaded the town of Yamoun, west of Jenin, set up ambushes and were stationed for hours in the vicinity of Alarkam school. No arrests were reported.
