Israeli forces killed 11 Palestinians, among them three journalists and several children, in a series of attacks across the Gaza Strip on Wednesday — one of the deadliest days since the October 11, 2025 “ceasefire” began.

Local reporters and medical teams said Israeli drones, snipers, and artillery fire struck civilians in central, southern, and northern Gaza, hitting residential areas, farmland, and roads used by displaced families trying to move between overcrowded shelters.

Three journalists killed while documenting conditions

In central Gaza, an Israeli drone fired on a clearly marked civilian vehicle carrying three Palestinian journalists.

They were on their way to document conditions in newly formed displacement zones when the strike hit.

The journalists were identified as, Abdul-Rauf Sha’at (cameraman), Mohammad Qeshta and Anas Ghoneim, photographer, and media drone operator.

Colleagues described the attack as a direct hit on a vehicle that posed no threat and was operating in an area where no clashes were reported.

Civilian deaths across the Gaza Strip”

Medical teams in Deir al‑Balah confirmed that seven Palestinians were killed in central Gaza, including two children.

In the south, two Palestinians were killed near Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis.

In the north, two more were killed when Israeli forces opened fire toward residential blocks near the Sheikh Zayed area.

Witnesses told regional media that Israeli forces also fired toward groups of civilians collecting water and firewood — basic tasks that have become daily survival routines amid the collapse of essential services.

Violations of the 11 October 2025 “ceasefire”:

Despite the declared “ceasefire”, Israeli forces have continued to fire on civilians, restrict movement, and carry out limited strikes along Gaza’s eastern and northern edges.

Local outlets reported brief armored incursions east of Beit Hanoun, in northern Gaza, and Bureij refugee camp, in central Gaza, accompanied by gunfire toward nearby homes and agricultural fields.

Palestinian monitoring bodies say Israel has committed more than 1,300 violations of the 11 October 2025 “ceasefire”, including drone strikes, sniper fire, artillery shelling, and repeated incursions into buffer zones.

Humanitarian conditions continue to deteriorate:

Hospitals in central Gaza are struggling to treat the wounded, with shortages of fuel, medical supplies, and surgical equipment worsening by the day.

Ambulance crews said they were unable to reach several injured civilians because Israeli forces opened fire near access roads.

Displaced families told reporters they fear further attacks, especially after Wednesday’s strike on journalists who were documenting conditions in the same area.

These include deaths from live fire, drone strikes, artillery shelling, and sniper attacks, as well as injuries sustained during Israeli incursions into buffer zones.

Since the start of the genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023:

More than 71,000 Palestinians were killed.
Over 171,000 were injured.

Roughly 90% of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure was destroyed or severely damaged.

Entire neighborhoods, hospitals, schools, and public facilities have been flattened, leaving much of the territory uninhabitable.

A fragile and repeatedly violated “ceasefire”:

Thursday’s killings — including the deaths of three journalists and multiple children — highlight what Palestinian officials and rights groups describe as a fragile and repeatedly violated “ceasefire”, where civilians, aid workers, and media crews continue to face lethal risks despite the absence of large‑scale ground operations.
