Hospitals across the devastated, starved, and besieged Gaza Strip have recorded seven additional deaths over the past 24 hours, among them two children, caused by starvation and severe malnutrition. This brings the total number of Palestinians who have died from hunger-related causes to 258, including 110 children.

The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza continues to deepen under Israel’s ongoing siege and the systematic denial of food and medical supplies.

The famine, now widespread, is unfolding alongside a genocidal campaign that Israel has waged since October 7, 2023.

Since March 2, 2025, Israeli authorities have sealed all border crossings into Gaza, blocking the entry of nearly all humanitarian aid.

This deliberate obstruction has accelerated the spread of famine and exacerbated the collapse of Gaza’s health infrastructure.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) recently warned that malnutrition rates among children under five have doubled between March and June, directly linked to the sustained blockade.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has also sounded the alarm, reporting that nearly one in five children under five in Gaza City is suffering from acute malnutrition.

WHO emphasized that the intentional delays in aid delivery and the siege itself have led to preventable deaths on a massive scale.

Rami Abdu, Assist. Prof of Law & Finance, and chairman of EuroMed Human Rights Monitor (@EuroMedHR) stated on X that “the number of Palestinians who have died from their wounds has surpassed 9,000 since the start of the genocide.

“These staggering figures reflect Israeli crimes and the tragedy of a devastated health sector, with doctors and medicine barred from reaching the wounded,” he added.

On Sunday, Day 681 of the ongoing genocide, Israeli occupation forces continue their genocidal war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, killing and wounding dozens of residents across the devastated, starved, and besieged Gaza Strip.

Since October 7, 2023, Israeli occupation forces have waged a systematic campaign of extermination against the Palestinian population in Gaza. The ongoing genocide has so far claimed the lives of at least 61,897 Palestinians, including more than 17,341 children, 10,2015 women, and 237 journalists, injured at least 155,660 others, largely children, women, and elderly.

The figures remain incomplete, as countless victims remain trapped beneath the rubble or lie in the streets, unreachable by emergency and rescue teams due to the relentless bombardment and siege.
