Israeli forces killed two more Palestinian young men, on Friday, in addition to the five previously reported, bringing the total of citizens assassinated to seven, in the northern West Bank city of Jenin.

Media sources said that two brothers were executed after soldiers fired “Energa” anti-tank rifle grenades at a Palestinian-owned home in the “Hursh Al-Sa’ada” neighborhood in the western part of Jenin city.

The sources added that occupation forces executed the two brothers, Humam Asaad Ahmad Hashash, 23, and Harith Asaad Ahmad Hashash, 19, after bombing a home belonging to the citizen, Asaad Hashash.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that, “The body of the martyr Harith Asaad Ahmad Hashash, 19, arrived at the Jenin Governmental Hospital, which raises the death toll in Jenin to 7 martyrs, since Friday morning.”

The Palestinian Authority for Civil Affairs informed the Health Ministry of the death of the young man, Humam Asaad Ahmad Hashash, 23, the body of whom was confiscated by the occupation army.

Sources said that Israeli special forces infiltrated the city and besieged the home in the “Hursh Al-Sa’ada” neighborhood, followed by military reinforcements, before the army fired several “Energa” shells and live rounds at the home.

Israeli sharpshooters were positioned on the rooftops of tall buildings, while soldiers called over loudspeaker demanding a young man surrender himself to the army.
It was added that the bombarded home sustained severe damage, as did the home and vehicle of the adjacent home belonging to the citizen, Riyad Abu Hazma.

Soldiers also invaded the home of Anan Jarrar in the neighborhood, and used it as a military observation post, while ransacking the home and stealing and unknown sum of money from the family.
Armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the attacking army in the vicinity of the bombing.

Media sources said that the army blocked ambulance crews from approaching the home and abducted several young men, however there were no official reports about abductions.

The Arab 48 news website reported that the army and the Shin Bet released a joint statement revealing that the army assassinated 7 people in Jenin, including a so-called “cell” that recently killed an Israeli soldier with an explosive device in Jenin.

Earlier Friday, Israeli forces executed Ahmad Bassem Ammouri, 20, Qussai Amjad Hazouz, 23, Fuad Eyad Aziz Ashqar, 25, and Yassin Ahmad Mahmoud Al-‘Areedi, 30, after targeting their vehicle with a drone strike near the Al-Awda Junction, in the Jenin refugee camp.

A soldier shot and killed a fifth Palestinian, Mohammad Mahmoud Jabarin, 54, with live ammunition, while he was on the rooftop of his home in the Zahra’ neighborhood.

The Health Ministry said that seven citizens sustained serious injuries as a result of the missile strike, while two young men were seriously injured after soldiers shot them with live rounds, one in the head and one in the neck.

On Friday evening, thousands of Palestinians gathered in front of the Jenin Governmental Hospital to mourn the loss of six out of the seven slain during the Israeli attack.

Media sources said that mourners carried the bodies of the slain men on their shoulders and traveled to their families’ homes where their loved ones said their final goodbyes.

Mourners performed the funeral prayers over their bodies before laying them to rest in cemeteries in the city of Jenin, the Jenin refugee camp, the town of Silat al-Harithiya, northwest of the city, and the village of Jalqamus, to the southeast.

Israeli forces have now killed 568 Palestinian civilians, including 138 children, and injured more than 5,300 others, in various regions of the occupied West Bank, since the beginning of the military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.

Israeli forces have killed at least 38,514 Palestinians, the majority of whom are woman and children, and injured at least 87,445, since the beginning of the brutal military onslaught against the devastated Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, while thousands remain buried under the rubble.
