Israeli forces killed at least five Palestinian young men, on Saturday, after besieging and bombing a home in the village of Deir al-Ghusoun, northeast of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) its crews recovered, in the afternoon, the body of a young man under the rubble of the bombed house.
Earlier, the occupation army bulldozers, while demolishing the home, uncovered the bodies of one young man at dawn, and another in the morning.
A social media video shows Israeli soldiers handling two bodies near the bombed home, while another shows a body being recovered in the home by PRCS crews.
According to official Palestinian sources, the Israeli army detained the bodies of four young men after recovering them from the rubble of the targeted home.
The PRCS added that the body of the young man was transported to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarem.
In the afternoon, occupation forces withdrew from the town, it is unclear whether or not the army confiscated the bodies of the unidentified young men.
Citizens and ambulance crews rushed to the destroyed home in search of dead or injured men.
During the attack, Israeli forces besieged and bombed the Palestinian-owned home in the eastern neighborhood, while reinforcements accompanied by heavy machinery stormed the village.
The army positioned sharpshooters on the rooftops of tall buildings, while reconnaissance drones flew overhead, while the soldiers fired “Energa” missiles at the besieged home, where young men had barricaded themselves.
The occupation claimed that the “wanted” young men allegedly carried out a shooting attack resulting in the death of an Israeli soldier in November 2023, in the village of Beit Lid, east of Tulkarem.
A curfew was imposed in the area, while soldiers besieged the home, and armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged heavy gunfire.
At dawn Saturday, the army began demolishing the house and bulldozing the rubble, searched the property, accompanied by police dogs.
External walls, fences, and infrastructure in the vicinity were also destroyed, in addition to several citizens’ vehicles.
According to eyewitnesses, Israeli soldiers confiscated the bodies after abusing them and fired smoke bombs and heavy live rounds at anyone attempting to approach.
Arab 48 reported that the occupation forces fired concussion grenades and tear gas canisters towards a group of journalists while they were covering the events from a building opposite the targeted house.
It added that an Israeli sharpshooter fired live rounds at the Al-Arabi TV cameramen, no injuries were reported, at least one camera was damaged.
Media sources added that the owner of the destroyed home, the former prisoner, Salma Bashir Badran, emerged from the rubble and soldiers handcuffed, blindfolded, interrogated, and detained him.

Israeli forces killed five Palestinians, including four fighters from the militant group Hamas, in an overnight raid near the city of Tulkarm in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian and Israeli officials said on Saturday.
Hamas confirmed that four of the men killed during the raid in Deir al-Ghusun village were from its al-Qassam armed wing. The Palestinian health ministry said their bodies had been taken by the Israeli military.
There was no information about the fifth man, whose body was too disfigured for immediate identification, the Palestinian health ministry in the West Bank said.
The Israeli army reports that a police officer was severely wounded during the operation. The officer is a member of the Police Special Anti-Terror Unit (Yamam) and was taken to a nearby hospital.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said one of the Palestinians had died on the way to hospital on Saturday following the raid in Deir al-Ghusun, while a Reuters reporter at the scene saw Israeli forces leave the village with two other bodies.
The Israeli military said it was conducting "counterterrorism activities in the area".
Saturday's operation in Tulkarm was the latest in a series of clashes in the West Bank between Israeli forces and Palestinians, that has been escalating for more than two years, but which has picked up in intensity since the Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7.
At least 460 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces or Jewish settlers in the West Bank or East Jerusalem since October 7, according to Palestinian Health Ministry records. Most have been armed fighters but stone-throwing youths and uninvolved civilians have also been killed.
