Israeli soldiers shot, on Tuesday, 11 Palestinians, including children, in demonstrations along the eastern border of the besieged Gaza Strip, and caused many others to suffer the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.

Media sources said that dozens of Palestinian young men and children, gathered near the separation fence, east of Gaza City, in the northern part of Gaza, and east of Rafah, in the southern part.

Israeli soldiers, positioned in military barracks and armored military vehicles, fired many live rounds and tear gas canisters at Palestinian demonstrators.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that Israeli occupation forces shot 11 Palestinian young men with live rounds. They were all transported to nearby hospitals.

The Ministry added that a child was injured after being struck in the head with a tear gas canister, east of Gaza City, while two children were shot with live rounds east of Rafah.

Many others sustained inhalation injuries from tear gas exposure, and received medical treatment from local medics at the scene.

Palestinian young men burned rubber tires, launched incendiary balloons, and chanted nationalistic slogans.

Palestinian youths in Gaza have been gathering along various points along the eastern border every day since September 13, in support of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to protest the inhumane siege imposed on the Gaza Strip since 2007.
