Israeli soldiers abducted, on Friday at dawn, a former political prisoner, and continued the extensive and violent searches of homes and property in the Jenin governorate, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.
Media sources in Jenin said dozens of soldiers invaded Ya’bad town, south of Jenin, before breaking into and ransacking many homes, stores, and buildings, causing extensive damage.
They added that the soldiers abducted a former political prisoner, identified as Ezzeddin Taleb Atatra, after invading his home and ransacking it, in Ya’bad town, south of the city.
The soldiers also invaded the towns of Qabatia and Kafr Ra’ey, south of Jenin, searched several homes, and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
It is worth mentioning that the soldiers invaded many shops and homes in Jenin, and Burqa village along with several surrounding communities in Nablus, in northern West Bank, before violently searching them and confiscating surveillance recordings and equipment.
The invasions led to protests across Jenin and Nablus before the soldiers fired several live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs.
Furthermore, the Jenin-Nablus Road remained blocked by the soldiers for the second day, preventing the Palestinians from crossing and isolating many villages and towns.
The Israeli army said it is ongoing with its operations to locate the Palestinians who killed, on Thursday at night, a colonialist settler, identified as Yehuda Dimantman, 20, near the evacuated Homesh colonialist outpost, built on Palestinian lands north of Nablus.
On Friday dawn, Israeli colonizers attacked many Palestinian cars and broke into a car repair facility near the main entrance of Sebastia town, north of Nablus, in northern West Bank.
Also at dawn, dozens of colonizers attacked many homes in Qaryout town, south of Nablus, and injured several Palestinians, in addition to attempting to abduct one man.
On Thursday at night, Israeli colonizers attacked many Palestinian cars near Sielet ath-Thaher town, south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, before Israeli soldiers invaded and searched homes and shops, and confiscated surveillance equipment.
