RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 14 Palestinians, including former prisoners, on predawn Sunday across the occupied West Bank.

According to Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS), Israeli forces detained three Palestinians in the southern West Bank district of Hebron.

Two of them were identified as former prisoners Muhannad Murshad Awad and Muhammad Yousef Awad. The third was identified as Muhammad Naji al-Atrash.

In the central West Bank district of Ramallah, five Palestinians were detained. PPS identified them as Anas Muhammad Nakhla, Mustafa Muhammad Nakhla, Yasser al-Najjar, Mustafa Ibrahim al-Biyari, and Izz al-Din Subhi al-Qathi.

In addition, Israeli forces raided the al-Jalazun refugee camp in the Ramallah district and broke into several Palestinian homes and damaged the residents personal belongings.

Israeli forces also seized 2,500 shekels ($689) from the Samadaa family after their home was raided and searched.

In the northern West bank district of Jenin, PPS confirmed that six Palestinians were detained. They were identified as Farsan Amarna, Muhammad al-Sheikh Ali, Yousef Masharqa, Nidal Nafayat, Ahmad Tareq Abu Baker, and Shadi Kamal Mari.

Israeli search and detention raids are a nightly occurrence in Palestinian cities, towns, and refugee camps across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,781 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons.
