RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 15 Palestinians, including a minor, on predawn Thursday, across the occupied West Bank.

Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) confirmed that Israeli forces detained three Palestinians in the southern West Bank district of Hebron; they were identified as Mumen Amin al-Tamimi, Ibrahim Muhammad Zamaara and his brother Udayy.

In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, one Palestinian was detained and identified as Muhammad Maaruf al-Atrash.

In the central West Bank district of Jerusalem, Israeli forces detained six Palestinians; PPS identified them as Ahmad Dandis, Amjad Abu Nab, Majdi Abu Nab, Firas Husseini, Rami al-Rashq and Muhammad Nour Abu Nab, 16.

In the northern West Bank district of Nablus, five Palestinians were detained; they were identified as Mutassem al-Farie, Karim al-Masri, Marwan al-Qaraawi, Mujahed Tabanjeh and Mahdi Habron.

Additionally, during the raids, Israeli forces assaulted several Palestinian residents, injuring some, and broke into homes and damaged personal belongings.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,640 Palestinian prisoners currently being held in Israeli prisons, of whom 270 are child prisoners and 50 are under the age of 16.
