BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained 11 Palestinians in overnight arrest raids in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, Palestinian security officials and Israel's army said.
Israeli soldiers raided Beit Awwa in Hebron and detained Walid Abu al-Ghallasi, Yusuf al-Jamal and Uday Masalmah. Witnesses said Israeli forces raided several neighborhoods in Hebron city and set up military checkpoints at entrances to the nearby towns of Halhul and Sair.
Adel Abd al-Jabbar Dweikat, 26, was detained in Nablus, while Mahmoud Abdullah Dari and Uday Auri were detained in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of al-Issawiya.
In Jabal al-Mukabbir, Zeid Abed Rabbo Khalayla, 22, and Omar Hasan Hijazi, 21, were arrested while Hasan Samir Khalfawi, 18, and another teenager Majd Gheith were detained from their homes in Silwan and the Old City.
Meanwhile, a Palestinian woman accused of trying to stab an Israeli soldier was released from custody late Sunday.
Shuroq Ayman Ratib Abu Ter, 21, was detained on Sunday and interrogated after being accused of attempting to stab an Israeli police officer at a military checkpoint in Shufat refugee camp.
An Israeli army spokeswoman said 11 Palestinians were detained in the West Bank overnight.
