RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least ten Palestinians from across the occupied West Bank, on predawn Thursday.
The Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) said that Israeli forces detained at least five Palestinians from the central West Bank district of Jerusalem; they were identified as Rafat Tareq al-Issawi and his son Fadi, and Ahmad Abu Irmeileh, in addition to two other detainees who were not yet identified.
Israeli forces briefly detained a Palestinian woman from the Hizma town, north of Jerusalem; PPS identified her as Kifah Salah al-Din mother of Palestinian prisoner Muhammad Salah al-Din.
PPS added that Israeli forces detained four Palestinians from the central West Bank district of Ramallah and al-Bireh; they were identified as Omar Jalal Dar Youssef, 24, Omar Muhammad Asfour, 10, Watheq Abed al-Karim Abu al-Hajj and Amjad Mahmoud Amriyeh from the Kobar town.
Israeli forces also raided the house of prisoner Omar al-Barghouthi, Hamas leader and father of killed Palestinian Saleh al-Barghouthi.
Locals reported that Israeli forces searched the house and interrogated Saleh's mother.
According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,554 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons, of whom 51 are female prisoners.

Israeli Soldiers Abduct Ten Palestinians In The West Bank

Israeli soldiers abducted, overnight until dawn hours Thursday, at least ten Palestinians, including one woman, from their homes in several parts of the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) has reported.
The PPS said the soldiers invaded many homes in Kobar village, north of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and abducted Omar Jalal Dar Yousef, 24, Omar Mohammad Asfour, 19, Watheq Abdul-Karim Abu al-Haj, and Amjad Mahmoud Amriyya.
The soldiers invaded and ransacked the home of political prisoner, Omar Barghouthi, and the father of Saleh Barghouthi, 29, who was killed by the army on December 12th, and interrogated Saleh’s mother, and other members of the family, for several hours.
In occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers invaded Hizma town, northeast of the city, abducted Kifah Salahuddin, the mother of a political prisoner, identified as Mohammad Salahuddin, and released her several hours later.
Also in Jerusalem, the soldiers abducted four Palestinians, identified as Rafat Tareq al-‘Isawi, his son Fadi, Ahmad Abu Rmeila, and two others who remained unidentified at the time of this report.
