(UPDATE) JENIN, February 8, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli army and police forces Sunday arrested nine Palestinians in the West Bank, including a minor from East Jerusalem, as well as summoned two teenagers for interrogation, according to local sources.
In Jenin, in the northern West Bank, witnesses said Israeli soldiers arrested eight Palestinians while they were present outside Salim military compound, waiting for the release of a Palestinian prisoner. The eight, ranging in age between 17 and 22, are from Balata refugee camp in Nablus.
Earlier in Jerusalem, Israeli police broke into the Bab Hitta neighborhood in Jerusalem’s Old City, where they arrested minor Mohammad Sharifa from inside his family’s home, reported witnesses. He was taken to an Israeli interrogation center in Hebron.
Meanwhile, Israeli army forces stormed the city of Bethlehem and the nearby Hebron’s town of Beit Ummar, where they handed notifications to two Palestinians, aged 17 and 19, to appear for interrogation at the military compound in Gush Etzion settlement bloc.
In the meantime, army conducted a large-scale search operation in the town of Ya’bad, west of Jenin; they raided four homes and questioned their residents.

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) 20:32 -- Israeli forces on Sunday arrested five Palestinians at a checkpoint near Jenin, Israeli police said.
Police spokeswoman Luba al-Samari said in a statement that the Palestinians were attempting to smuggle fireworks through the Salim checkpoint.
The statement said the fireworks could have been used in clashes with Israeli forces.
Soldiers at the checkpoint received information about a car approaching the checkpoint with two people in it.
The two Palestinians in the car attempted to flee, but were arrested in addition to three others who intervened, the statement said.
