BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 11 Palestinians, including a teenage girl and a former prisoner, during raids on predawn Tuesday across the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) confirmed that Israeli forces detained a teenage girl as she was crossing the Container checkpoint, in the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem; PPS identified her as Rania Wajih Mahmoud Dweik.
In the southern West Bank district of Hebron, Israeli forces detained three Palestinians; they were identified as Ahmad Mahmoud al-Qadi, Fadi Youssef Ghneimat and Bassam Muhammad Ismail.
In the central West Bank district of Ramallah, from the Qalandiya refugee camp, two Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces; PPS identified them as Karim Abu Latifa and Shadi Yacoub.
In the northern West Bank district of Nablus, one Palestinian was detained and identified as Samer Hamdi.
In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, Israeli forces detained former prisoner, Muhammad Abed al-Latif Shibani.
In the northern West Bank district of Qalqiliya, three Palestinians were detained; PPS identified them as Amid Zamari, Wahbi al-Khouli and Ayyub Farouq Abu Haniya.
According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,781 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons, 270 of whom are child prisoners, and 50 of them are under the age of 16.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported that Israeli soldiers abducted, on Tuesday at dawn, eleven Palestinians, in several parts of the occupied West Bank.
The PPS stated that the soldiers abducted Rania Wajeeh Dweik, after stopping her at the Container roadblock, northeast of Bethlehem.
It added that the soldiers invaded and ransacked many homes in Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank, and abducted Ahmad Mahmoud al-Qadi, Fadi Yousef Ghneimat and Bassam Mohammad Ismael.
Furthermore, the soldiers abducted Karim Abu Latifa and Shadi Ya’coub, from their homes in Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied East Jerusalem.
The PPS also said that the soldiers abducted Samer Hamdi from his home in Nablus, in the northern part of the West Bank.
In Qalqilia, in northern West Bank, the soldiers abducted Ameed Zamari, Wahbi al-Khouli and Ayyoub Farouq Abu Haniyya.
In addition, the soldiers abducted a former political prisoner, identified as Mohammad Abdul-Latif Sheebani, from his home in Jenin, in northern West Bank.
In related news, the soldiers killed a young Palestinian man after abducting him from his home, and repeatedly assaulting him, until he lost consciousness, and died from his wounds.
Furthermore, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza has reported, late on Monday at night, that an Israeli war jet fired a missile at Palestinians, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, killing two young men.
