12:00 Sep 11 2018 Afula

Description
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The Israeli police detained a Palestinian youth, on Tuesday, in the Affula City in northern Israel reportedly carrying a "dagger".

Hebrew-language news outlets reported that the Palestinian youth, 20, from the Tulkarem district in the northern West Bank, did not have an Israel-issued permit allowing him to enter Israel.

The Israeli authorities currently impose closure on all crossings and checkpoints of the occupied West Bank and besieged Gaza Strip, for Jewish holidays.

Sources added that the police received reports of a “suspicious” person in the Affula City.

Israeli police forces, that arrived and searched the city, then detained the Palestinian youth and transferred him to the Israeli intelligence services for interrogation.
