SALFIT, December 31, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities Saturday issued several notices to take over land in Az-Zawiya and Masha, towns west of Salfit, for the expansion of the Apartheid Wall, according to Az-Zawiya mayor Khader Shuqir.He said that Israeli authorities issued notices to take over more than 50 dunums in both towns and decided to build a new checkpoint in the buffer zone.
The notices were not dated and were neither handed to Palestinian landowners, which makes it difficult for them to file objections, added the mayor.
