BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 20 Palestinians during predawn raids in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
In the northern West Bank district of Nablus, Israeli forces detained four Palestinians from the city and two others from the Tel village.
Locals identified the detainees to Ma’an as Rami Ahmad al-Koussa, Youssef Awawdeh, Ubada al-Tashtoush and Muhammad Bilal al-Azizi from Nablus City, and Qussai Hassan al-Bahti and Inad Mustafa Assideh from Tel.
In the Jenin refugee camp, also in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces detained three Palestinians after raiding and ransacking their homes, according to PPS. Their identities remained unknown.
Three more Palestinians were detained from their homes in the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem. They were identified by locals Amer Assaf from Tulkarem City, and Muath Fathi al-Khasib from the Qaffin village, and Bakr Taqi Tawfiq from Kafr Abbush village.
PPS said that one Palestinian, who was not identified by name, was detained from the central West Bank district of Ramallah. Locals told Ma’an that clashes erupted during raids on the al-Jalazun refugee camp in Ramallah.
In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, Israeli forces detained two Palestinians. They were identified as Asaad Abu Aahur from Bethlehem ity and Ahmad Bassam Deiriyeh from the town of Beit Fajjar.
In Hebron, forces raided the Halhoul town, north of Hebron City, where they detained four Palestinians, who were identified as Ahmad al-Baba Zamaareh, Youssef al-Baba Zamaareh, Mahmoud Awad Zamaareh and Atta Hasan Zamaareh.
Israeli raids in Palestinian cities, towns and refugee camps are a daily occurence.
According to Palestinian prisoners rights group Addameer, as of April, there were 6,036 Palestinians being held in Israeli prisons.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported that Israeli soldiers abducted, on Wednesday at dawn, twenty Palestinians from their homes in several parts of the occupied West Bank.
The soldiers conducted very violent searches of dozens of homes, and interrogated many Palestinians, before abducting twenty, and took them to various detention and interrogation centers.
The PPS office in Nablus, in northern West Bank, said the soldiers abducted six Palestinians, identified as Yousef Awwad, Mohammad al-‘Azizi, Abada Tashtoosh, Qussai Hassan al-Bahti, Enad Mustafa ‘Aseeda and Rami Ahmad al-Kousa.
In Jenin, in northern West Bank, the soldiers abducted Amir Emad Amer and Ziad Nasser Ja’as and Aysar Mohammad Amer.
In Tulkarem, also in northern West Bank, the soldier abducted Amer Mohammad Assaf, 30, Ali Taqi Tawfiq, Mustafa Jamal No’man, 20, and Moath Fathi Khaseeb.
In Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank, the soldiers abducted Ahmad al-Baba Zama’ra, Yousef al-baba Zama’ra, Mahmoud Awad Zama’ra and Ata Hasan Zama’ra.
In Bethlehem, south of occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers abducted two Palestinians, identified as As’ad Abu ‘Ashour and Ahmad Bassam Deeriyya.
In Ramallah, in central West Bank, the soldiers abducted Bader Sari ‘Armoush.
