BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 22 Palestinians during overnight raids between Sunday and Monday across the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian and Israeli sources.
Official Palestinian Authority (PA)- owned Wafa news agency reported that Israeli forces arrested eight Palestinians from the Nablus-area village of Qusra in the occupied West Bank, where a Palestinian was shot and killed by a settler earlier this month.
Israeli army forces also arrested two Palestinians from an unspecified location in the Nablus area.
In the Jenin refugee camp, Israeli forces arrested four Palestinians, according to Wafa.
In the southern West bank, Israeli forces arrested one Palestinian from the village of Tuqu in the Bethlehem district.
Meanwhile, in occupied East Jerusalem, Wafa reported that Israeli police raided the neighborhood of al-Issawiya and arrested “a number of Palestinian citizens.”
An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an that 22 Palestinians were detained from the West Bank.
Israeli raids into Palestinian towns and villages are near daily occurrence in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
According to the UN, between December 5 and the 18th, Israeli forces carried out 162 search and arrest operations in the West Bank.

Israeli soldiers carried out, on Monday at dawn, extensive invasions and violent searches of homes and property, in several parts of the occupied West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, and abducted at least 26 Palestinians, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported.
Most of the abducted Palestinians are from the northern West Bank governorate of Nablus, especially in Qusra village, and several surrounding communities.
The soldiers also abducted at least three Palestinians from the al-‘Isawiya town, in Jerusalem, during extensive and violent searches of home.
Media reports indicate that the number of abducted Palestinians is higher than 26, but the following names have been confirmed.
The PPS identified the abducted Palestinians as:

3. Ehab Zohdi, Qusra – Nablus.

9. Ibrahim Wadi, Qusra, Nablus.
10. Rizqallah Abu Mahmoud, Qusra – Nablus.
11. Ahmad Mohammad al-Hroub, Deir Samit – Hebron.
12. Arqam Khaled Ahmaro, Hebron.
13. Yousef Zein, Yatta – Hebron.
