Israeli forces have launched several airstrikes on the Gaza Strip over the past week, allegedly targeting Hamas and Islamic Jihad military posts in response to rocket fire coming from Gaza into Israel.
Four Palestinian fighters have been killed in airstrikes over the past week, while no Israeli injuries have been reported.
Tensions around Gaza and the occupied West Bank have risen since US President Donald Trump’s announcement last week recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
