Official Palestinian Authority (PA) news agency Wafa said that Israeli forces raided the village, where they fired tear gas at people’s homes, causing a number of residents to suffer from suffocation.
Emergency medical crews of the Palestinian Red Crescent treated most cases on site, while one man was transferred to the hospital.
An Israeli army spokesperson said they were unaware of the incident, but would look into reports.
In the central West Bank district of Ramallah, PPS reported that Israeli forces detained seven Palestinians.

Israeli military raids in Palestinian towns, villages, and refugee camps are a daily occurrence in the occupied West Bank. The UN recorded an average of 95 weekly raids in the occupied West Bank in 2016, and a weekly average of 78 raids thus far in 2017.
According to prisoners' rights group Addameer, 6,300 Palestinians were held in Israeli prisons as of March, including 61 women, 300 minors, and 500 held without charge under administrative detention. The group has estimated that 40 percent of Palestinian men have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
