Description
WEST BANK, November 21, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli intelligence Monday summoned four Palestinian ex-prisoners from Salfit, Jenin and Hebron, who were released in the Gilad Shalit swap deal, for interrogation, according to security sources and family members.
The Israeli army raided the city of Salfit north of the West Bank, inspected the houses of Ra’ed Hassan and Imad Fatouni, and handed them notices to report to Israeli intelligence, said security sources.
Sources added that Israeli forces also broke into a house of released prisoner Sami Jbareen, who was exiled to Turkey, and summoned his brother to Israeli intelligence.
In addition, the Israeli army broke into the house of Abdul Rahman Salah, 59, in Jenin, and interrogated him for two hours before warning him that he will receive a notice to report to Israeli intelligence, in Salem military camp west of Jenin, within two days.
In Hebron, the Israeli army summoned released prisoner Hani Jaber, who was convicted of killing a settler in the nearby Kiryat Arba settlement, to report to Israeli intelligence by handing a notice to his family.
Jaber’s family, who live near Kiryat Arba, has been targeted by settlers seeking revenge. The assaults against his family escalated in the past few days as settlers threw stones and caused damage to the house.
