Description
Silwan, Jerusalem (SILWANIC) --Alternative Information Center academic and activist Yakub Abu Assab was arrested in a night raid on his home by Israeli forces on Friday morning, 4 November.
Forces stormed his home at 2am on Friday, arresting Assab. In addition to his work with the AIC, Assab serves as a member of the National Committee for Resisting Exile. He has been targeted for arrest many times by Israeli forces over the past seven years, and is now accused by Israeli officials of being an Islamic labor leader in Jerusalem. Many such figures have been arrested in the wake of the Israel-Hamas prisoner swap agreement.
