SALFIT (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least three Palestinians on Wednesday night in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, including a 15-year-old Palestinian teen, Palestinian sources said.The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said in a statement that Amr Ibrahim Ahmad Qassul, 15, was detained in the village of Kafr al-Dik in the northern West Bank.
In the Ramallah and al-Bireh district, Israeli forces detained a Palestinian identified as Arafat Ali Musleh from the town of Kharbatha.
PPS added that Israeli soldiers also detained Saif al-Din Abu Taa from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem.
An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an that they did not have records of any overnight detentions.
According to prisoners’ rights group Addameer, 7,000 Palestinians are currently detained in Israeli prisons. Addameer estimates that 40 percent of Palestinian men have been detained at some point in their lives.
