BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces shot a Palestinian teen and detained 10 others, including three female university students, during detention raids in the occupied West Bank early Tuesday, local sources said.
Locals told Ma’an that a 15-year-old Palestinian resident of al-Ram north of Jerusalem was shot in the thigh at the village entrance by Israeli military forces raiding the area.
Palestinian Red Crescent medics said Israeli forces prevented them from accessing the youth to administer medical treatment, adding that the military detained the injured teen, whose condition was unknown.
An al-Ram resident was detained in front of his home during the raid, locals added.
Separately, Palestinian security sources said that three students at al-Quds University in Abu Dis were detained from Ramallah, identified as Nour al-Islam Darwish, Hala Beitar, and Salam Abu Sharar from Ramallah.
Israeli forces also detained a 22-year-old Palestinian woman identified as Majd Youssef Atwan from the town of al-Khadr near Bethlehem.
Murad Muhammad Taqatqa and Walid Issa Taqatqa were also detained near Bethlehem from Beit Fajjar village, and Abed al-Rahim Mahmoud Awad was detained from Beit Awwa south of Hebron.
Popular resistance coordinator in Kafr Qaddum, Murad Ishteiwi, told Ma’an that that Israeli forces raided the village at dawn and detained Ahmad Nidal Aqel, 20, and Ayman Farouq Barham, 35, after searching their homes.
Ishteiwi added that Israeli forces also delivered summon notices to former prisoner Usama Ubeid as well as to Majed Jumaa and his son.
An Israeli army spokesperson confirmed nine detentions, all of whom they said were suspected “Hamas operatives” or suspected for “illegal activity.”
Israeli military forces execute routine raids across occupied Palestinian territory, carrying out an average of 95 raids per week since the start of this year according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
During the raids, forces regularly enter Area A -- areas of the West Bank under full Palestinian jurisdiction -- in violation of the Oslo agreements.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported that Israeli soldiers kidnapped, on Tuesday at dawn, at least twelve Palestinians, including four young women, in different parts of the occupied West Bank.
The PPS said the soldiers searched many homes in the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and kidnapped three young women identified as Nour al-Islam Darweesh, Hala al-Beetar and Salaam Abu Sharar. All are students of the Al-Quds University.
The soldiers also invaded the al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem, and kidnapped a young woman, identified as Majd Yousef ‘Atwan Sbeih 22.
The PPS added that the soldiers kidnapped Morad Mohammad Taqatqa, 31, and Waleed Issa Taqatqa, 30, from their homes in Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem.
In Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, the soldiers kidnapped one Palestinian, identified as Mo’taz al-Mohtasib, while Abdul-Rahim Mahmoud Awad, was kidnapped from his home in Beit ‘Awwa town, south of the city.
The army also invaded Kufur Qaddoum town, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, searched and ransacked many homes, and kidnapped two Palestinians, identified as Ahmad Nidal Aqel, 20, and Ayman Farouq Barham, 35.
The soldiers also summoned three former political prisoners for interrogation; they have been identified as Osama Obeid, Majed Jom’a, and his son.
In addition, the soldiers invaded the al-Lubban ash-Sharqiyya village, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and occupied a Palestinian home, belonging to Ehsan Daraghma, before using it as a military post and a monitoring tower.
The soldiers installed a tent on the rooftop of the invaded home, and deployed dozens of soldiers around it, inside the property and on its rooftop.
Two other Palestinians, identified as Mahmoud Osha’ Mona and Ahmad Talal Mona, were kidnapped in the Sa’diyya neighborhood, in occupied Jerusalem.
Also on Monday evening, the soldiers kidnapped three Palestinian children in Shu’fat neighborhood, in Jerusalem, allegedly for throwing stones on the Light Rail.
On Monday evening, Israeli soldiers shot and injured a Palestinian child, in the al-Ram town, northeast of Jerusalem, and also kidnapped a young man from his home in the town.
