Description
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces shot a Palestinian teen and detained 10 others, including three female university students, during detention raids in the occupied West Bank early Tuesday, local sources said.

Locals told Ma’an that a 15-year-old Palestinian resident of al-Ram north of Jerusalem was shot in the thigh at the village entrance by Israeli military forces raiding the area.

Palestinian Red Crescent medics said Israeli forces prevented them from accessing the youth to administer medical treatment, adding that the military detained the injured teen, whose condition was unknown.

An al-Ram resident was detained in front of his home during the raid, locals added.

Separately, Palestinian security sources said that three students at al-Quds University in Abu Dis were detained from Ramallah, identified as Nour al-Islam Darwish, Hala Beitar, and Salam Abu Sharar from Ramallah.

Israeli forces also detained a 22-year-old Palestinian woman identified as Majd Youssef Atwan from the town of al-Khadr near Bethlehem.

Murad Muhammad Taqatqa and Walid Issa Taqatqa were also detained near Bethlehem from Beit Fajjar village, and Abed al-Rahim Mahmoud Awad was detained from Beit Awwa south of Hebron.

Popular resistance coordinator in Kafr Qaddum, Murad Ishteiwi, told Ma’an that that Israeli forces raided the village at dawn and detained Ahmad Nidal Aqel, 20, and Ayman Farouq Barham, 35, after searching their homes.

Ishteiwi added that Israeli forces also delivered summon notices to former prisoner Usama Ubeid as well as to Majed Jumaa and his son.

An Israeli army spokesperson confirmed nine detentions, all of whom they said were suspected “Hamas operatives” or suspected for “illegal activity.”

Israeli military forces execute routine raids across occupied Palestinian territory, carrying out an average of 95 raids per week since the start of this year according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

During the raids, forces regularly enter Area A -- areas of the West Bank under full Palestinian jurisdiction -- in violation of the Oslo agreements.
