BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- An Israeli man was stabbed and injured Sunday afternoon in the northern occupied West Bank district of Qalqiliya, in the third attack of the day, an Israeli army spokesperson said.
The man, a 50-year-old Israeli, was in severe condition and was being evacuated for medical treatment, according to the Red Star of David emergency medical service.
An Israeli army spokesperson said that after the attack, the Israeli man evacuated himself and "arrived at the Ariel crossing with stabbing injuries," immediately seeking help from Israeli forces at the crossing.
"Initial reports indicate the man was attacked and stabbed in Nabi Ilyas," the spokesperson added, referring to a Palestinian village in the area.
The army spokesperson said Israeli forces "are currently searching the area for potential suspects" in the stabbing attack.
No further details on how the attack was carried out were immediately available.
Just hours before the stabbing attack, a Palestinian woman was shot and critically injured after attempting to stab an Israeli security guard at the entrance to the illegal Israeli settlement of Beitar Illit, near the Gush Etzion settlement bloc in the southern occupied West Bank.
The Israeli was lightly injured.
Earlier on Sunday, Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian after he allegedly rammed a car into a group of Israelis, injuring three in the attack. Another Israeli was reportedly shot and moderately injured by a ricochet bullet when Israeli forces were attempting to shoot the Palestinian at the scene.
The death marked the 76th Palestinian to be killed since the beginning of last month, the majority of whom were shot dead by Israeli forces during alleged, attempted, and actual attacks on Israeli military and civilians.
Recent attacks come as Israeli intelligence said earlier this week that a recent lull in violence was unlikely to be long-term, citing high levels of frustration among the Palestinian public and a weakened Palestinian Authority.

A 50-year-old Israeli male was seriously wounded after being stabbed in his car near the West Bank village of Nabi Elias. He managed to drive toward the nearby Eliyahu Crossing, from where he was evacuated to Meir Hospital, Kfar Sava.
According to the Defense Ministry's initial investigation, the man was shopping in Nabi Elias and was stabbed in his car by two assailants while leaving.
The attack comes hours after five Israelis were wounded in a pair of car-ramming and stabbing attacks in the West Bank.
