NABLUS (Ma’an) – Israeli forces carried out predawn detention raids in Nablus and two neighboring villages in the northern area of the occupied West Bank, detaining three Palestinians.

Palestinian security sources told Ma’an that Israeli troops raided the village of Awarta and detained 29-year-old Tariq Raja Darawsha.
Israeli troops also stormed al-Lubban al-Sharqiya south of Nablus and detained 17-year-old Palestinian American Nael Abdul-Rahman Uweis.

Firas Kamil Zubeidi, 27, was detained from his house in Nablus city.
An Israeli army spokesperson had no immediate information.
Around 7,000 Palestinians are being held in Israeli jails. Last month saw a surge in Palestinian detentions, including higher-than-average levels of minors, according to prisoners' rights group Addameer.
