Israeli soldiers abducted five Palestinians, on Tuesday evening, at the Huwara and Za’tara military roadblocks, south of Nablus, in the northern West Bank, as the army tightened its security measures after a shooting in Huwara town which injured two illegal colonizers.
Israeli forces abducted, on Tuesday evening, four Palestinian young men while they were attempting to go through the Huwara military roadblock, south of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank.
According to Kamal Bani Odeh, the head of the Tubas chapter of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), occupation soldiers abducted four brothers, identified as, Khaldoun, Firas, Hamed, and Muhammad Yousef Khaled Daraghmeh, when they tried to pass through the Huwara military roadblock.
Later Tuesday, occupation forces stationed at the Za’tara military roadblock, south of Nablus, abducted a Palestinian man while he was travelling through the military roadblock.
Kamal Bani Odeh, the head of the Tubas chapter of the PPS, said that Israeli soldiers abducted Samir Youssef Muhammad Sawafta, 49.
Israeli forces closed the entrances to Nablus, and enhance inspection procedures at the Huwara and Za’tara military roadblocks, in addition to the side roads around the towns of Huwara and Beita, south of Nablus.
Two settlers were injured, on Tuesday evening, in the town of Huwara, after at least two unknown perpetrators drove by and opened fire at their vehicle.
Occupation forces deployed soldiers in the area, and began a search campaign for the armed perpetrators, and increasing their security procedures.
In Beita town, local Palestinian youths protested the army presence, which soldiers responded to by firing tear gas canisters at them.
Several young men sustained inhalation injuries as a result of tear gas exposure, and were treated at the scene by local medics.
