RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli authorities extended on Tuesday the detention of 46 Palestinian prisoners for interrogation and legal procedures.
A rights groups said that Israeli Salem court extended the detention of Muhammad Qadri, Murad Shaqiqat, Muhammad Damiri, Ahmad Omar, Muhammad Turkman, Ahmad Bani Odeh, Makin Saadeh, Walid al-Jaafari, Khalid Usfour, Muhammad Abu Wardeh, Suhaib Abu Sumayya, Diyaa Hamayil, Ali Daraghmeh, Muhammad Dabk, Ali Subuh and Raed Radwan.
The Petah Tikva court extended the detention of Saed Shantir, Mutasem Antari, Munadel Saadeh, Hummam Awwad, Ayham Jamil, Firas Farhat, Amer Ayyad, Rida Hassun, Abd al-Salam Awwad, Huzaa Lulah and Amer Kiswani.
The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society said that the Ofer court extended the detention of Ali Hammad, Muhammad Abdullah, Ibrahim Assaf, Sultan Adi, Yahiya Awad, Muhammad Abd al-Rahman, Hamzeh Malash, Mustafa Bujeh and Ismail Saqr.
The al-Jalama court extended the detention of Mujahed Youssef, Ahmad Khreis, Kamel Abu Shanab, Abd al-Hamid Hamed and Samer Nufal.
The Russian compound court extended the detention of Muhammad Abu Shahin, Usama Asaad, and Alaa Ibrahim while the Ashkelon court extended the detention of Hussein KJwaziyeh and Ahmad al-Juneidi.
Over 6,000 Palestinians are currently being held in Israeli jails.
