ERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Monday afternoon closed down parts of the eastern entrance of al-Issawiya village with cement blocks.

Monitoring committee member Muhammad Abu al-Homos told Ma'an that Israeli forces closed parts of the main roads leading to the village in response to alleged rock-throwing and tire-burning.

Abu al-Homos said one of the officers informed him that the blocks were "to protect soldiers in the area."
