Palestinian medical sources in the central West Bank city of Ramallah, has reported Wednesday that a young man died of serious injuries he suffered last week, during clashes that took place after Israeli soldiers invaded the al-Jalazoun refugee camp.

Head of the Palestine Medical Center in Ramallah Ahmad al-Beetawy said Ali Mahmoud Safi, 20 years of age, was shot by a live round to the chest fired by an Israeli soldier, after dozens of soldiers invaded the al-Jalazoun refugee camp in Ramallah.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) Safi was one of its members, and called for a massive participation in his funeral procession and ceremony that would be held Thursday, starting in front of the Palestine Medical Center.

The PFLP added that Safi was also a former political prisoner, held in Israeli detention centers and prisons.
