BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained 15 Palestinians throughout the occupied West Bank early Thursday, security officials said.
Palestinian security forces told Ma'an that Israeli forces raided the Jenin refugee camp and detained Mustafa Hilal Shita, 35, and Bassam Omar Abu Zeineh, 23.
Sources added that clashes erupted between dozens of youth and Israeli forces as they raided the Fahma village in western Jenin, with no resulting injuries or detentions reported.
In Ramallah, Israeli forces detained Palestinian journalist Islam al-Fuqaha and took him to an unidentified destination after raiding and searching his home in the Silwad village.
Three Palestinian youths were also detained from the town of Beit Ummar northwest of Hebron. They were identified as Muhammad Sadeq Muhammad Ikhleil, 21, Hazem Ali Ikhleil, 19, and Mutasem Ibrahim Ali Aqel Ikhleil, 23, a former prisoner who had previously spent 18 months in Israeli jails.
Spokesperson of a local popular committee, Muhammad Ayyad Awad, told Ma'an that the youths were detained after Israeli forces raided the town searching homes.
Muhannad Youssef Muhsen Awad, 20, was given a notice to meet with Israeli intelligence in the Etzion military camp in northern Beit Ummar.
Some 64 Palestinians have been detained in Beit Ummar by Israeli forces since the beginning of 2015, including 28 minors.
An Israeli army spokeswoman told Ma'an that all individuals detained Thursday were arrested for "suspected terrorist activity."
Israeli forces routinely conduct night raids of towns and villages throughout the West Bank.
Palestinian residents are often detained during such raids. The total number of Palestinian prisoners detained by Israeli forces was 6,000 in February 2015, according to Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association.

Israeli soldiers invaded, on Thursday at dawn, various Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank, stormed and ransacked homes, and kidnapped nine Palestinians.
Several armored military vehicles invaded several towns in the southern West Bank district of Hebron, and kidnapped six Palestinians.
The soldiers invaded Doura town and kidnapped Ramzi Na’im al-Khatib, 27, and Ahmad Fuad Abu Daoud, 20, after searching and ransacking their homes.
One Palestinian, identified as Khalil Mohammad az-Zama’ra, was also kidnapped from his home in Halhoul town, north of Hebron.
Media spokesperson of the Popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements in Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron, said the soldiers invaded Khallet al-‘Ein area, and Safa town, searched and ransacked several homes and kidnapped three Palestinians.
The kidnapped have been identified as Mohammad Sadeq Ekhlayyel, 21, Anas ‘Ali Ekhlayyel, 19, and former political prisoner Ibrahim ‘Ali Ekhlayyel, 23 years of age.
Soldiers also handed resident Mohammad Yousef ‘Awad, 20, a military warrant for interrogation in the Etzion base, north of Hebron.
The latest arrests in Beit Ummar bring the number of kidnapped Palestinians in the town alone, since the beginning of the year, to 64 residents, including 28 children.
In addition, soldiers invaded Silwad town, in the central West Bank district of Ramallah, and kidnapped a journalist identified as Islam al-Foqaha after breaking into his home, and violently searching it.
Two more Palestinians, identified as Mustafa Hilal Shatta, 35, and Bassam ‘Omar Abu Zeina, 23, have also been kidnapped from their homes in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and the Jenin refugee camp.
