Description
HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces arrested a young Palestinian man from the southern West bank town of Beit Ummar north of Hebron on Thursday.
Muath Yousuf Azmi Ikhlayyil, 20, was taken into custody after he was questioned at Gush Etzion interrogation center, where he had gone after receiving a summons from Israeli forces, a spokesman of Beit Ummar local committee against Israel's separation wall and settlements Muhammad Ayyad Awad told Ma'an.
Israeli forces routinely detain Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, usually on the pretext of security questioning.
Around 40 percent of the male Palestinian population has been detained by Israeli forces, according to prisoner rights group Addameer.
