Elderly Palestinian Attacked by Settlers in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, September 27, 2011 (WAFA) – ‘Atsion’ settlers attacked on Tuesday Salem Eid, 65, from Jurat ash-Sham’a, in Bethlehem, while on his way to his agricultural land.

Hussien Zawahreh, coordinator of the popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements, in the West Bank, stated that those called the ‘settlement’s security members’ arrested the old man, while another number of settlers attacked him and beat him up.

He added that the Israeli forces came to the place, arrested Eid and transferred him to the settlement’s jail before releasing him in a later time.
