SALFIT, September 19, 2011 (WAFA) – A Jewish settler Sunday night ran over a Palestinian man from Jama’een, a village north of Salfit in the northern West Bank, causing him critical injuries, said medical sources.

Witnesses said the settler intentionally ran over Ahmad Ali at the southern entrance of the village and fled the scene.

Ali was transferred to hospital for treatment and his condition was described as stable.

In a related matter, Jewish settlers ran over a disabled Palestinian on Sunday and abducted another on Saturday night in the West Bank.

The escalating attacks mark the settlers’ vengeance and attempt to provoke violent reactions from Palestinians during the critical time when President Mahmoud Abbas will request a full United Nations membership of a Palestinian state based on 1967 borders this Friday.
