RAMALLAH (Ma’an) – Israeli forces detained several Palestinians in Hebron in the southern West Bank after carrying out multiple predawn raids in the city Thursday, a Palestinian human rights group said.
The Ahrar Center for Prisoners’ Studies named some of the detainees as Osama Abu Zuweid, Hamdan Abu Zuweid, Ibrahim Hassan, Ahmad al-Qawasmi, Ashraf al-Uweiwi, Muhammad Hashim al-Heimouni, Karam Manasrah and Udayy al-Juneidi.
Israeli forces also stormed the home of Hebron journalist Alaa al-Titi, a reporter of the Hamas-affiliated al-Aqsa TV channel, but he wasn’t at home.
Israeli daily Maariv focused on the detention of Ahmad al-Qawasmi highlighting that Israeli intelligence accuses him of helping Marwan al-Qawasmi and Amir Abu Aisha whom Israel accuses of kidnapping and killing three teens near Gush Etzion.
