42 Palestinians arrested across West Bank as campaign continues

Israeli soldiers invaded, on Wednesday at dawn, dozens of Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank, and kidnapped at least 44 Palestinians, including a number of political leaders of the Hamas movement.

The Ahrar Center for Detainees’ Studies and Human Rights has reported that dozens of soldiers invaded and ransacked Palestinian homes in Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank, and kidnapped several Palestinians.

It said the soldiers kidnapped former political prisoner Rezeq Rajoub, despite the fact that he is still recovering from a surgery he underwent less than 24 hours ago.

Soldiers also kidnapped Sheikh Ahmad al-Qeeq, Jawad al-Karaky, Fathi al-Joulani, Bilal al-Mohtaseb, Monther al-Jo’ba, Jamal ‘Awawda, Mohammad Zama’ra, Kayed Atawna, and Mohammad ‘Awawda.

Dozens of soldiers also invaded the northern West Bank city of Nablus, clashed with local youth before invading into homes and kidnapped Ahmad Dawla, former political prisoner Abdullah Al-Aker (who was married a week ago), Sameh al-Ashqar, Anan Bishkar, Omar Abu Khamis, Ehab Abu Zeid and Omar Darawsha.

Resident Omar Mayadma was also kidnapped in Aqraba nearby town.

In Salfit, soldiers kidnapped Sheikh Aziz Fattash, former political prisoner Zoheir Al-Einabousy, and Salah Bahjat.

In Anata town, in occupied Jerusalem, soldiers kidnapped Yahia Salameen, while one Palestinian, identified as Sheikh Mustafa al-Ajouly, was kidnapped in the northern West Bank city of Tulkarem.’

The soldiers also kidnapped former political prisoner, Khaled Gheitan, from his home in Qebya town, near Ramallah, reporter Boshra Tawil in Ramallah, two brothers identified as Yousef and Saddam Mohammad Dar Mousa from Beit Leqia town, Rasmi Abu Alia, Aseed Qdeih, Omar Nahedh, and Musallam Abdul-Latif.

In Bethlehem, soldiers kidnapped Mousa Rashayda, Mohammad Sabah, 21, from his home in Teqoua’ village, and Mousa Awwad Rashayda was kidnapped from his home in Rashayda village.

Also in Bethlehem, soldiers invaded several homes, in Hindaza area, and kidnapped several Palestinians after ransacking their homes.

Some of the kidnapped have been identified as ‘Ayesh Mohammad Obeyyat, 21, Mohammad Wajeeh al-‘Amarna, 21, and Moazzaz Khalil Obeyyat, 29.

Residents Majdi Abdul-Karim Taqatqa, Nizar Yousef Taqatqa, Eyad Mohammad Taqatqa, all are from Beit Fajjar town, near Bethlehem, were kidnapped from their work in occupied Jerusalem.

In addition, resident Ekrema Nofal was kidnapped in Qalqilia, Sheikh Yahia Zyoud, Mohammad Farhat and Mohammad Sabah have been kidnapped in Jenin, and Khaled Masa’eed has been kidnapped in the Palestinian Plains area of the Jordan Valley.

At least five Palestinians have been injured by rounds of live ammunition, fired by Israeli soldiers invading Jenin.

In related news, soldiers handed demolition notices to families of a number of Hamas leaders, including detained political leaders, in the al-Jalazoun refugee camp, and the al-Biereh city. The soldiers also posted a demolition order targeting a mosque in the al-Jalazoun.

Troops also invaded Nablus city, and ransacked the home of legislator Ahmad al-Haj. The army invaded his home frequently in the last few days in an attempt to kidnap him.

In addition, dozens of soldiers, especially undercover units of the Israeli army, invaded the yards of the al-Aqsa Mosque, in occupied Jerusalem, and fired rubber-coated metal bullets at a number of youth.

At least twelve Palestinians have been injured at the entrance of the Shu’fat refugee camp, in occupied Jerusalem, after the soldiers surrounded it assaulted several Palestinians.

The invasion came after Israeli fanatics kidnapped and killed a Palestinian teen, from Shu’fat, north of occupied East Jerusalem. At least twelve Palestinians have been injured during clashes with Israeli soldiers.

In related news, extremist Israeli settlers burnt a barn, and wrote racist graffiti in Aqraba village, south of the northern West bank city of Nablus.
