Description
NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli troops have been occupying the home of a Palestinian family in the Nablus district since Tuesday evening and have not allowed the residents to leave, locals told Ma'an.
Witnesses said Israeli troops raided the village of Awarta Tuesday night and entered the home of Muhammad Said Sharab.
The house is located near the illegal Israeli settlement of Itamar, locals said.
Neighbors told Ma'an that the residents of the home are being held in one room and are forbidden from using telephones or leaving the house for any reason.
An Israeli army spokeswoman did not immediately return calls seeking comment.
The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.
