NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained 17 Palestinians across the occupied West Bank overnight Monday, Israel's army and locals said.
In Nablus, 10 Israeli military jeeps raided the refugee camps of Balata, Askar and el-Ein, as well as the neighborhoods of al-Mureij and Rafidia, and detained seven people.
Yasser Manna, 24, Bakr Sharayaa, 22, Khalid Nimir Fayyad, 23, Bakr Said Bilal, 22, Anas Mahmoud Raddad, 22, Muhammad Salih Hamdanand, 22, and Salih al-Amir, 21, were identified by locals as those detained.
In occupied East Jerusalem, Israeli forces detained 17-year-old Ahmad Nadir Audah, 19-year-old Fadi al-Rajabi, 15-year-old Muhammad Abdul-Minem, and 17-year-old Mustafa Shehadah in the neighborhood of Silwan.
A lawyer told the Wadi Hilweh Information Center that the four teenagers were accused of throwing stones at Israeli officers in the Al-Aqsa compound.
They were taken to the Russian Compound interrogation center, located just off West Jerusalem's Jaffa Street.
In Jerusalem's Old City, Ahmad Hdeib, 25, was arrested by Israeli police.
An Israeli army spokesman said 17 Palestinians were detained overnight for "security questioning."
Nine were detained in Nablus, five in Hebron, one near Bethlehem, one in Ramallah, and one in Qalqiliya, he added.
Palestinians in the occupied territories are routinely arrested by Israeli military forces, usually on the pretext of security reasons.
Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
